Despite their beauty inside and out the Catholic Churches don’t always have the best lighting. The St Michael’s Cathedral in Toronto and the Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal are particularly dark inside. The St. Paul’s Basilica, on the other hand, stands out in its design that allows natural light to spill in certain areas of the church. You can see this effect in the foreground and background of this intimate photograph taken moments before the bride walked down the aisle. The open door adds an element of depth to the frame and details the picture.
Location: St. Paul's Basilica, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
