Every photograph is a moment in time. A documentary.
Each has a story that unfolds. Every image is interpreted individually by each viewer. There may be countless stories with infinite endings.
If we look deep enough at art, we can read into our souls. We become the storytellers, artists. And finally, the art.
In this photographic documentary, there is a story to be told. A beautiful bejeweled wife to be, but yet still a vulnerable child in the eyes of her parents. The loving touch of her caring mother and the proud, poised strength of her father are evident.
We can hear the words that are spoken. We can feel the sentiment, the love, the joy and excitement, and even the pain of separation and silence. There is a very rich narrative here.
It is a classical black and white image. There are no distractions. The color is felt in the emotion of the moment. Patience, perfect timing, and intuition are key ingredients in capturing such sensitive works of art.
“To see in color is a delight for the eye, but to see in black and white is a delight for the soul.“
~ Andri Cauldwell
