Jennifer and Kevin – A Montreal Wedding

Wedding Photography by Phototerra Studio

One of our favs from the Phototerra team, sheerly for its strong blend of story, candidness, and beauty.

Luckily for us Jennifer left us with a little note describing her story with Kevin;

“Our wedding was everything we dreamed of, and so much more. From the moment Kevin proposed, on the evening of December 23rd, 2009 and revealed the most beautiful ring I have ever seen, to the moment I saw him at the altar, looking as handsome as ever, every single step of our romance has been, well, blissful! There are no words to describe the love we have for each other. If I were to describe my husband I would say he is kind, caring, passionate, and very funny. He would probably say that I am sweet but determined, hard-working and loving. We both challenge each other yet we work so well as a team. The planning of the wedding was a great testament to our ability to cooperate and incorporate each other’s vision for the day. Kevin really wanted fantastic food, lots of great drinks and amazing music. I envisioned beautiful white flowers, Louis ghost chairs and a beautiful church ceremony. We achieved both of our goals, and most importantly got to share our day with our friends and family who travelled far and wide to be with us as we said “I do!”

Thanks you two for sharing such a momentous day with us!

I know it has been awhile since I’ve posted but its been well worth the wait, I do have to say. Not too long ago in late July and early August, the Phototerra team was in Toronto shooting a massive Indian wedding which spread over an entire week of shooting and celebrations. Call it a crazy week, there were 2 main photographers, a second photographer, a couple of videographers, and if you add a few hundred singing and dancing guests into the mix, and then you got yourself a real Indian Wedding party. Oh the cultured festivities of it all.

Aside from the blazing Toronto summer heat, we actually thrived under the circumstances and I’m ecstatic to say that the resulting work from that week’s party is visually stunning. Go ahead have a sneak peak below.

A special thanks to our visually talented team Anouk, Anastasia, Mark, Anton and Nikita for contributing to the amazing photography and cinematography. Great job guys!

From one landmark to another – NYC wedding at Yale club.

From nne landmark to another

The day in NYC was rainy and humid. Central park was quickly replaced with Grand-Central for the photos of Meredith and Remko. This whimsical weather only added to a rollercoaster of happy emotions of this very classy and beautiful New York wedding.
In the middle of the city, hidden among the scrapers, there is a magnificent looking church. St Bart’s was built in 1967 and is a recognized landmark of NY. That’s where Meredith and Remko exchanged their rings. Followed by reception at the Yale club’s elegant roof dining room, the banquet with a Jazz Band and an intimate atmosphere was a perfect ending to this event.

BTW, my friend Walter from Walter van Dusen photography was secondshooting for me that day.

When I’m really touched by wedding photos, when I’m feeling most deeply, I pick up on the emotion of the picture. As I’m reading the photograph, It paints a love story in my mind.
Today I saw a wedding slide show of Christine and Hutch, and was so moved by these unbelievable wedding photos shot by my brother, Michael Greenberg, that I would like to share the story that I saw and of course a little bit of what I know.

I saw a story of true love. The mutual care between the couple and their families and friends is unbelievable. We know their families. We photographed the wedding of Christine’s sister Emily in 2008. That was another stunning wedding with a different flare, but with the same genuine love and warmth…. and I think that’s  what inspired me so much again today.
I must note another common denominator between these 2 weddings. Both were organized by super talented wedding planner Melissa Haggerty from Toronto.
Spectacular spectacular is the name of her company and I have to agree. Amazing job every time and I’m just being honest.

As for Christine’s dress, the photos spoke…its Vera Vang…..Its a beautiful modern and luxurious wedding dress, precisely fitted for our bride.

Actually this magical event was going on for 3 days but the wedding itself was on April 3rd, 2011 at Chateau Lake Louis which is located in the heart of Banff National park.  Absolutely gorgeous!

What can I say… There is only one ending to this story. and you probably already guessed; Christine and Hutch lived happily ever after!
